Evidence Center
WorldFreightHub's data provenance hub — every important data point is traceable to a source, source type, confidence level and review date.
TL;DR: The evidence center makes provenance explicit across 16 approved sources, 6 regulatory records, 19 port profiles, 46 freight-rate placeholders and 103 provider records. No figure is published without a documented source or an honest confidence label.

Each evidence record describes the fact, where it came from and how confident we are in it.
| Field | What it records |
|---|---|
| Claim | The exact fact or figure being asserted. |
| Source | The named authority, registry or first-party record behind the claim. |
| Source type | Primary, government, port authority, industry, organization or directory record. |
| Source URL | The fixed URL from the approved source registry, or an internal first-party page. |
| Source date | When the source was published, where the source records one. |
| Checked date | When the claim was last reviewed against its documented source. |
| Confidence | HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW or UNKNOWN, using the methodology definitions. |
| Volatility | How quickly the underlying figure can change after publication. |
| Reviewer | The internal desk or policy owner for the record type. |
| Notes | Caveats, masking decisions, or reasons a figure is withheld. |
How to read an evidence record
- HIGH means a primary authority or first-party record supports the claim.
- MEDIUM means the claim is documented, but not independently verified.
- LOW means the figure is an estimate or placeholder and must be verified before relying on it.
- UNKNOWN means evidence is insufficient to make a judgement, so no confidence claim is made.
