What we verify

A provider listing is checked against one or more documented sources: the provider’s own website or an independent third-party directory. For each listing we compare three things:

  1. Business identity. The name and entity presented in the source must match the listing.
  2. Website. Where a provider publishes a website, we link to that website rather than publishing unverified direct contact details.
  3. Published service claims. The services and markets shown in the listing must be supported by the documented source.

A listing is marked verified only when these checks are supported by a documented source. Until then it stays unverified or claimed.

What verification does not certify

We do not verify licences, accreditations, registry entries or government registration. Verified means the identity, website and published service claims have documented-source support — it does not mean WorldFreightHub has confirmed a provider’s licence, permit or official company registration.

Where evidence is insufficient to make a judgement, we mark the item Unknown instead of guessing. This is the same discipline used across WorldFreightHub data: no evidence, no confidence claim.

Listing statuses

These statuses describe evidence, not a ranking. A sponsored listing can never outrank or hide an editorial listing.

Data integrity rules

  • No invented providers. We never create a listing that does not exist.
  • No invented contact details. We publish only details that have a source, or we route enquiries through the provider’s website or the Get Quote form.
  • No unsourced details. A fact with no source is withheld or labelled as unverified.
  • Self-reported claims stay labelled. Statements such as “20 years experience” are published only as claims and marked as not independently verified.

Report an error

Provider details can change, and sources can go out of date. To report a problem:

  1. Go to the contact page.
  2. Include the provider name, the incorrect detail and a source or correction.
  3. The entry is reviewed against the documented source and updated if needed.

Frequently asked questions

What does "verified" mean in the directory?

Verified means business identity, website and published service claims are each supported by a documented source — the provider’s own website or an independent third-party directory. It is not a licence, registry or government-registration check.

Does WorldFreightHub verify licences or company registration?

No. We do not claim that a provider’s licence, accreditation or government registration has been officially verified. Our check is limited to identity, website and published service claims against a documented source.

What is the difference between verified and claimed?

Verified means a documented source supports the listing checks. Claimed means the business has claimed its own listing, and any self-reported material is labelled as not independently verified until evidence supports it.

How are sponsored listings handled?

A sponsored listing is a paid placement, always labelled, and kept separate from editorial rankings. It is held to the same honesty standard as every other listing.

How do I report an error in a provider listing?

Report one listing at a time through the contact page with the provider name, the incorrect detail and a source or correction. We review the report before updating published information.
